How to use Playlist DJ

Position the sliders in Playlist DJ to indicate the degree of joy, passion, anger and tempo of your playlist. The higher the level, the more joyful, passionate, angry or upbeat music you get. Playlist DJ finds a track that best matches your settings, and uses that track to automatically generate a complete playlist that fits your settings. If you’d prefer to start with a track from you collection, simply search for the one you want and Playlist DJ will create suitable playlists from its mood and tempo settings.If you are already listening to a song when you start Playlist DJ, you’ll automatically get a playlist with similar songs. Tap any track in the playlist to play or remove it from the list.

Music profiling
Playlist DJ detects the music on your phone and connects to the Internet to profile it. The service will even analyze and create profiles for new songs and even unique audio material you may have created. This in-depth process takes a bit longer than normal profiling, but it’s well worth the wait. Every time you add music to your Nokia phone, Playlist DJ profiles these new songs.

How to profile in 3 easy steps:

  1. Add music to your phone.
  2. Make sure your phone is connected to the Internet.
  3. Select Playlist DJ in the Music menu on the phone. Playlist DJ will detect the new music and connect to the Internet to profile it in the background. As soon as the first tracks are profiled, you will be able to start generating playlists.

Creating playlists

  1. Select Playlist DJ in the Music menu on the phone. If new music has been added to your phone, Playlist DJ will profile the tracks.
  2. Adjust the sliders or search for a specific track.
  3. If you wish to modify your playlist, move a slider or search for a track.

To play the playlist, press the Play button.
This opens the Player. To return to Playlist DJ press the Back button.

To save the playlist, press the save button
and enter your desired name for the playlist.

To search for a track from which to generate a playlist, press the
search button. Select a track to generate a playlist of similar tracks.

To view music profiling status, select
music profiling from the Options menu.

To create a playlist based on a highlighted track, select a track from
the playlist and select Playlist of similar songs from the Options menu.

To remove a song from the playlist, select a track from the playlist
and select Remove song from playlist from the Options menu.

To clear the playlist, select Clear playlist from the Options menu.

To show the welcome screen, select Show
welcome screen from the Options menu.

To get help, select Help from the Options menu.

To exit, select the Exit button
or Exit from the Options menu.
