Moodagent v2.0 has arrived

It is with great pleasure that Syntonetic introduces Moodagent v2.0!!

Syntonetic has listened to all of your feedback since Moodagent launched nearly six months ago, and it’s because of your suggestions and opinions that we now bring you this next feature-packed version. We sincerely thank you.

First, we want to tell you about the new social sharing features. Now you can broadcast your playlists on Twitter and Facebook, and your Facebook friends will have the added bonus of viewing the entire playlist. Sometimes it’s just easier to let the music speak for you.

We are also happy to tell you that one of your most-requested features – longer playlists – has been incorporated into v2.0. You can now create playlists anywhere from 1-50 songs.

Want to listen to music on your new iPad? Moodagent may be the best choice!

If you’re one of the lucky 450,000 or so who managed to snag an iPad last weekend, you’re probably still trying out different apps and downloading like crazy. Chances are, you want to listen to some tunes on your new iPad while you’re reading email or using another app, but streaming music services, such as Pandora and last.fm, won’t let you do that.

Moodagent profiles 3 Green River Ordinance songs – Come On, On Your Own and Rise Up

This week while attending the AT&T Music Service launch party at CTIA, I discovered a band called Green River Ordinance. I’d already heard some of their music over the radio and was pleasantly surprised at how many more songs they had in their repertoire. Here are 3 of their songs: “Come On”, “On Your Own” and “Rise Up” along with their mood profiles and the playlists Moodagent automatically created from my personal collection.

As you can see, GRO’s songs tend to favor aggression (purple) and a faster tempo (gray). “Come On” has the highest levels of Passion (red) and Happiness (yellow), while “On Your Own” has more tenderness (orange).

See Syntonetic at CTIA – Check Out Playlist DJ in the Nokia Booth

Syntonetic will demo its Playlist DJ mobile app this week at CTIA Wireless in Vegas! Look for the Syntonetic area in the Nokia Booth, #2536, Central Hall, at the Las Vegas Convention Center, March 23-25. We’ll be happy to give you an in-person demo of the app, as well as answer any of your questions, or just chat apps.

Our Playlist DJ app is one of the top downloaded apps on Ovi Store, and we are delighted that Nokia chose Syntonetic as one of only 15 developers to join them in their booth.

Moodagent Featured on The Gadget Show!

Looks like Moodagent is catching on in the UK. The app was featured on the popular British television series, The Gadget Show. They gave Moodagent a great review and showed the flexibility of the app to their audience in real time, with results that were right on the mark. TUAW on Moodagent — today and tomorrow

Even though Apple did not make it to Macworld, the show brought out many of the stars of the app developer community. Meet Us At Macworld 2010

Syntonetic will be exhibiting at Macworld next month, in the Mobile Application Showcase. This is the first time that Syntonetic will participate in an industry event to demo Moodagent technology in-person in the US, and we can’t wait to introduce Moodagent to all of the iPhone fanatics there! Not only can you get an in-person demo of the app, our Moodagent experts will be on-hand to answer questions and chat.

Moodagent version 1.0.1 released; New version fixes occasional app crash on OS 3.0

Syntonetic is pleased to announce that the next release of Moodagent for iPhone users is now available in the iTunes App Store.

Some of you may have experienced application crashes. We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience. Despite rigorous testing by our own experts, as well as by those at Apple, the issue was not discovered until after the app’s release into iTunes. This is certainly not up to Syntonetic standards, and we can assure you that we have been working tirelessly to resolve the issue.

Influence us! Moodagent Plugin for iTunes?

It’s been an amazing week since we launched moodagent on the iTunes App Store. We’ve had thousands of downloads, and hundreds of thousands new song profiles created. We’ve also had some problems with the load on our servers – which we believe has now been resolved.

Heavy Load on our Servers – Update: New Servers Added

Update: We have added several new server instances and balanced the load across them. You may still experience some delays or timeout over the next few days as we update the software to manage more profiling and syncing. If you experience a problem with syncing you may wish to wait a few minutes and manually sync (top left hand corner).

The Ovi Daily App blog site opened up voting for its ‘Must-Have App of the Year Awards’. The awards celebrate the best mobile applications in the Ovi Store, and the developers who created them. There are nine different categories with select apps in each.

Today, we are continuing our journey into the world of mobile applications with the launch of Moodagent for the iPhone. Moodagent is available for a limited time at no cost in the iTunes app store.

Our first mobile app, Playlist DJ, hasn’t been around for long, but is already changing the way people think about, listen to and discover new music, and we’re very proud to bring iPhone users into the fold. Moodagent looks amazing on the iPhone, and makes it easier than ever to create instant playlists using the touchscreen sliders.

Here at Syntonetic, we pay very close attention to all of the comments – praise or criticism – that you offer up. We wanted to address some of more common questions and problems that many have experienced. Keep up posted on how these fixes work for you, or let us know of any other questions or issues, and we’ll be sure to address those too.

Profile once. Enjoy Forever

Many of you have expressed concerns about Playlist DJ eating up your data allowances or ‘minutes’. Make no mistake. Playlist DJ is not a streaming music solution. It’s true that upon download, the app will profile all of your tracks, and all of this is done via an Internet connection. Syntonetic has worked painstakingly to ensure this is completed in as efficient a manner as possible – less than one second per track!

Many of you sent us comments via the Ovi store to let us know how you’re using Playlist DJ and what you love most about it. Thank you for all of this positive feedback! You let us know we’re doing something right, and that only encourages us to work harder to provide you with the best playlisting solutions we can. A few themes seemed to emerge, and we’ve summarized those for you here.

Playlist DJ demo at NokiaWorld

The video shows you a quick demo of the Playlist DJ software which comes preloaded in the X6 phone.
