American Idol: Moodagent compares Michael Lynche and The Beatles singing Eleanor Rigby
This week, American Idol contestant Michael Lynche was almost eliminated following his performance of Eleanor Rigby. Moodagent shows that he did alter mood of the Beatles song significantly, despite failing to wow the audience or the judges. The mood profile shows the biggest difference is the amount of passion Lynche expresses. His version is extremely passionate (red), whereas The Beatles version has very little passion. He also pours more happiness (yellow) and anger (purple) into the song.
He matches the standard on tenderness (orange) and tempo (gray).
In the end, the judges “saved” Lynche from elimination, urging him to up his game or risk being voted off again next week.
As you can see, each version of Eleanor Rigby generates a different playlist from my personal music collection. What playlists do you get?
