American Idol: Moodagent compares Katie Stevens and The Beatles singing Let It Be
This week, American Idol contestant Katie Stevens performed Let It Be. Moodagent shows how — and how much — Stevens changed the mood of the Beatles hit. The mood profile shows her cover has different settings for 3 of the 5 sliders. She held back on much of the Beatles’ passion (red) and some of their tenderness (orange). She also infused more anger (purple). She kept both the happiness (yellow) and tempo (gray).
She said later that she was able to make an emotional connection with the song because she had been thinking of her grandmother during the performance.
