Moodagent Named Finalist for 2009 Best App Ever Awards
After less than one month in iTunes, Moodagent named finalist in ‘Most Innovative App’ category.
SAN FRANCISCO, January 6, 2010 – After less than one month in iTunes App Store, Syntonetic Inc. today announced its Moodagent music app for the iPhone was named a finalist in the ‘Most Innovative App’ category for the 2009 Best App Ever Awards. Chosen from a formidable group of more than 75,000 applications released last year, Syntonetic has seen more than 200,000 downloads of Moodagent since its launch Dec. 14, pushing it to the No. 4 spot for free music applications in iTunes in the United States. The app is also ranked No. 1 in two countries and No. 2 in eleven countries.
Moodagent creates instant playlists based on the listener’s moods and emotions by using touchscreen sliders to help indicate the level of sensuality, tenderness, joy, aggressiveness and tempo he or she wants to hear. In a short time, Moodagent has proven itself a must for music enthusiasts, making it easy to find the best music to cater to a specific mood, to change a mood or to find music that works well together.
Produced by 148Apps.com, the awards were created to honor the best iPhone applications and games available – not necessarily the best-selling applications. The site depends on readers to choose those worthy of the recognition in 56 different categories.
Award finalists were announced on the site Jan. 1. Anyone interested in voting can visit the awards site to cast a vote, but must do so before voting closes Jan. 31. Winners will be announced at MacWorld Expo 2010.
For a limited time, Moodagent is available at no cost in the iTunes app store.
