Influence us! Moodagent Plugin for iTunes?
It’s been an amazing week since we launched moodagent on the iTunes App Store. We’ve had thousands of downloads, and hundreds of thousands new song profiles created. We’ve also had some problems with the load on our servers – which we believe has now been resolved.
Many of our new users are enjoying the app so much that they’ve asked us if we intend to create a moodagent plugin for iTunes. They’ve also asked us if they could share playlists created on their iPod Touch or iPhone, with iTunes on a desktop (PC or MAC). We’ve been considering doing both of these but haven’t yet assigned them to any of our team or put them on the schedule of upcoming features or products.
So if you would like to influence us — here is your opportunity.
Let us know if these types of apps are important to you. Would you pay for these features – and of course how much? Which platform do you use PC or MAC? What would you like first – copy playlist from iPhone to iTunes or full moodagent plugin?

This app rocks. Or jazzes? It does exactly what you expect and then some — I despise a complete random shuffle, and felt confined to listening to albums for the constancy…this app allows me to listen to all of my music in a different kind of order. Spending about 20-40% of my day listening to music is much more enjoyable now. Thank you, Syntonetic.
I just can’t wait for a desktop version of this app, which seems backwards from a consumer standpoint, but makes perfect sense business wise. Good for you guys!
Hello,
I’m using PC platform and really would like a full moodagent plugin. I’m willing to pay $ 25,-
J.
iTunes plugin would be wonderful. $15 would be the target price for me. Mac is my platform of choice, so I’d prefer that first. Sharing a playlist would be neat, but to me that would be a secondary goal, just b/c the playlist would be limited to what’s on iPod. If I’m going to use the app on the desktop, the entire library is what I want to mess with.
Sure,
Hell, it was a bout time!
15$
Would love an app for iTunes. I’m running the os x platform.
iTunes plugin would be really great (OS X first, please). And yeah, $15 would be the top end of the ballpark, I’d think.
Running OS X and would love to have a MoodAgent plug-in. Not sure how you could interface with iTunes but I would prefer an ad-supported app like the Pandora Adobe AIR app rather than a pay app. There are some people in the world that WILL NOT pay for an app, and you exclude those people as potential customers if you cannot offer a free version. I want you guys to get paid and I’d love to see some ads in the iPhone app.
My laptop PC is jealous of my iPhone right now, because my laptop has 12k+ tracks on iTunes but can’t build snazzy playlists the way my little iPhone can. So do I need or want a Moodagent widget for iTunes? The answer is HELL-Yes! And I need it now.
I’d happily fork over $15 for such a widget, willingly pay $20 (if I can use it on multiple PCs), and would probably begrudgingly pay $25 for an equally cool iTunes widget.
Dude.. a desktop app would be great. I’d strongly consider making iTunes my main playback method if that happened. It’s so hard to build playlists and taking the time to do it is the hardest thing. Moodagent for the PC for iTunes or any other player (foobar or MediaMonkey?) would be fantastic.
Hell, I love the iPod app so much that I’d likely throw a little money your way. $15 or so wouldn’t be bad because I got to try the app for free.
I would gladly pay for an iTunes plugin! I’m on a Mac
Would gladly pay for an iTunes plugin for OS X.
I agree with everybody else, just make the OSX version first :-)
Will gladly pay – but max 6$ at the moment, as Im unemployed…
A desktop app would be great, but please don’t tie it to Itunes alone. Make the playlists available for any media player (ex. Foobar, Winamp..)
Hi Im with Roger – I would love to have this as a plug in for wmp. I have been using playlist Dj on my nokia tube and loving it and have been searching for somehting similar for my music librabry on desktop. I would pay up to £15 for a plug in for Windows media player.
I would love to have this for my Mac. I think the $15 price point sounds about right. Syncing playlists from the iPhone is kind of interesting, but also limited. I have about 9GB of music on my iPhone, and over 60GB on my Mac and iPod classic.
The ability to create moodagent playlists on the Mac and syncing them to the classic is much more interesting.
How about a plugin for frontrow?
I would also love to have this for my Mac. Would gladly pay up to $20 for it, possibly even $25. Full plugin with various lengths of the generated playlists, please! =)
This works so much better than genius playlists – would be amazing to have it on my PC so i can make iTunes playlists!
A plug-in for iTunes @ Mac OS X = :-)
Price: Not more than $20
Amazing app, please, please make the plug-in. Tomorrow?
Would gladly pay $ 15. Is there a mailing list on development on this plugin?
Hurry :)
I would love an app for this for iTunes. Please don’t let it take up too much space on the screen. This needs to be a kind of app to set it and forget it.
Hurry :D
It would be awesome for the mac- maybe a free version?
This is awesome on my X6 and I would love the same functionality on my desktop media player (Songbird). I agree with bob in that it should maybe popup if you hover over an icon and then you set your settings. After your settings are applied it should then be hidden again.
I use mac, and i would like the full itunes plugin first! I will gladly pay 5 us dollar!
A friend recently reminded me of this service. I was real into it back in January (see old post above), but the lack of a desktop plugin kinda killed it for me…
Full moodagent plugin for iTunes on Mac OSX platform :-)
20-25 $US
I love my Mac and I’d love to get that cool moodmusic on it. I’d say $15-20.
Please, please, please please, Plug in for MediaMonkey
Your application is great!
